KamalCV terms and conditions

By using KamalCV or creating an account, you agree to these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully, and if you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Service provider

2. The service

  • KamalCV is an online service for creating resumes in Arabic and English, editing and previewing them, and downloading them as PDF.
  • Creating, editing and previewing resumes is free, and previews carry a watermark.
  • Downloading a PDF without a watermark is available to subscribers for the length of their subscription.
  • We may add, change or retire templates and features to improve the service.

3. Your account and responsibilities

  • You agree to provide accurate and current information when you sign up.
  • You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secret and for all activity under your account.
  • The account is for your personal use. You may not share it or resell a subscription.
  • You must have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

4. Subscription, prices and payment

  • Prices: Shown on the pricing page in Egyptian pounds. You can pay by bank card or e-wallet, and every payment is charged in Egyptian pounds.
  • Durations: 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 1 full year, paid in one payment.
  • No automatic renewal: A subscription ends when its period ends. We never charge you again without a new request from you.
  • When it starts: From the moment it is activated. If you renew before your current subscription ends, the new period starts after the current one, so no paid day is lost.
  • Price changes: We may change prices in the future. A change never applies to a subscription you have already paid for.
  • Payment details are private: Card and wallet payments are processed by a licensed payment provider. We do not keep your card numbers or wallet details on our servers.

5. Returns, refunds and cancellation

You may get a refund of your subscription under the conditions in our return, refund and cancellation policy.

6. Content and intellectual property

  • You own the content you write in your resume and you are responsible for it.
  • You give us a limited permission to store, process and show your content to you, and to export it as PDF, only to provide the service.
  • The templates, designs, software and the KamalCV brand belong to us or are licensed to us, and may not be copied or resold.
  • You may use the PDF made from your resume as you like when applying for jobs.

7. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the service for content that is unlawful, abusive, misleading or that infringes others' rights.
  • Do not try to break into or disable the site, bypass usage and subscription limits, or scrape its data.
  • We may suspend any account that does so.

8. Limits of liability

  • We work hard to keep the service available and accurate, but we do not promise it will be free of interruptions or errors.
  • The service is a tool for preparing a resume. We do not guarantee a job or an interview, and you are responsible for checking your file before sending it.
  • To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim does not exceed the amount of your last subscription payment.

9. Deleting and ending an account

  • You can delete your account and all its data at any time from the settings page.
  • We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms, and for a paid subscription we apply the refund policy where it applies.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and do not affect your rights under Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018. Egyptian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute not settled amicably.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and we announce it by changing the “last updated” date at the top of this page. A change applies to your use after it is published, and for material changes we try to tell you by email.
